You as an M or E Superintendent will:

• Plan, direct and coordinate on-site mechanical and electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes;
• Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems;
• Provide direction during functional performance testing of all mechanical and electrical systems;
• Assist Project Managers and Project superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical RFI’s and shop drawings and administrate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements;
• Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors;
• Report accurate quantities for labour cost reports and accurately monitor material ledgers to ensure quantities in estimate are sufficient to complete the project;
• Find solutions to conflicts in structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications and follow-up with consultants and sub-trades to completion;
• Ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instruction.

Is this the right role for you?

• You have a Electrical or Mechanical (preferred) Engineering related degree/diploma and at least 10 years of mechanical and electrical construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• You have a working knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems, principles and practices.HVAC, plumbing, lighting, fire alarm, security etc.
• You have the ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them.
• You have a working knowledge surveying techniques, surveying equipment standards and procedures.
• You have the ability to conceptualize drawings and identify potential construction conflicts.
• Communicate with superintendents and project managers
• Able to perform in a fast paced environment.
